Full-service interior architecture and design for hospitality
Creating spaces designed for your brand, your guests and the business behind them.
We don’t start with the design. We start with the thinking behind it.
A room that’s been designed from inside out, from brand and guest experience first, not aesthetic first, performs differently.
Guests stay longer, they spend more and they notice the details without knowing why. The atmosphere feels intentional because it is and reviews reflect the experience you set out to create. And your staff find the space works for them as well as for guests.
That’s not a happy accident. It’s the result of every decision, the layout, the carefully sourced, natural materials, the lighting, the flow, pointing in the same direction. That’s why every restaurant, hotel or bar interior design project begins the same way, with your brand, not your brief.
Because the difference isn’t just in the design itself. It’s in understanding the business as a whole.

Who is our Full Interior Architecture & Design Service for?
We work with independent and family-run hotels, restaurants and bars where you’re building something financially stable that you’re proud to put your name to.
You want to invest in design that delivers a return, created by people who really understand hospitality.
Whether you’re opening something new and want to get it right from the start or running something established that isn’t quite performing the way it should, our end-to-end service takes you from first conversation to finished space, with every material, detail and decision considered as part of the whole.
We source natural materials from local Cumbrian and British makers wherever possible, because the quality of what goes into a space is as important as how it’s designed.
Finding your True North - the Design DNA session
Before we start on any concepts, we run our Design DNA session. It’s a structured working session where we define your True North; your brand, your vision and the experience you want to create.
The outputs are a clear foundation that every design decision is built on. Not just how things look but how they function, how they feel and how they support your business.
Most design briefs start with what a client wants the space to look like. Ours starts with what it needs to do.

Questions we get asked.
-
No. Our studio is based in Cumbria but we work across the UK. The location shapes how we think, not where we go.
-
It depends on where you are. We work best when we’re involved from the start. Our Design DNA session is most valuable before any design decisions have been made. That said if something isn’t working and you need clear direction, get in touch and we’ll tell you honestly whether we can help.
-
It varies considerably depending on scope. What we can say is that we work to your programme and we’re experienced in phasing work around live businesses. We’ll give you a realistic timeline at the outset.
-
It’s a structured working session, usually half a day, where we get under the skin of your business. Your brand, your guests, your ambitions and how your space needs to perform. The output is a clear creative and strategic foundation that every design decision is built on. Most clients tell us it’s valuable in its own right, beyond the project itself.
-
Covering both disciplines, we create concept designs, spatial plans, detailed design and specifications for lighting, furniture, finishes and materials. We coordinate with external consultants and contractors to deliver the final architecture and design, including applying for any statutory approvals.
Where projects involve external investors or stakeholders, we present and communicate the design decisions clearly to the wider team, making sure everyone with an interest in the outcome understands the thinking behind it.
-
Each project is scoped individually. What we can tell you is we work with clients who see design as an investment in the business, not a line item to minimise. The best place to start is a conversation, we’ll quickly get a sense of whether we’re the right fit and what’s realistic.
-
Both depending on what you need. We can take a project from initial concept through to a space that’s ready to open, managing suppliers, contractors and procurement along the way. Or we can work at concept and specification level and hand over to your own team for delivery. We’ll agree on the scope at the start and be clear on what’s included.

We hear this more than you'd think. The most common issues are designers who don't understand hospitality, processes that disrupt trading, and spaces that look good in photographs but don't function properly. We've built the way we work specifically to address all three. The Design DNA session means we understand your business before we design anything. Our project management is built around live businesses. And we measure success by how the space performs, not how it photographs.
-
Yes. We partner with architectural practices as specialist interior architecture consultants on hospitality and high-end residential projects. We work best when we’re brought in early, before the key structural decisions are made, so we can contribute to how the space feels as you move through rather than just what goes in it. If you’re an architect looking for an interior partner on the right kind of projects, you can find out more here.
